Governor Polis’ Actions and Statements During COVID-19
Violate the Rights and Dignity of Coloradans

The document below was completed by volunteers on December 6th, 2021. It lays out some of the Executive Orders, statements and other actions of Governor Jared Polis in regard to COVID-19. All but two of the Executive Orders were ended by July 8th, 2021.

However even after the orders were rescinded and the COVID emergency status ended in Colorado, Governer Polis continued to demonize people who refused the COVID shots and continued to push the unnecessary and dangerous shots on children, including small children.

A 12/10/2021 Colorado Legislative Council Staff Memorandum provides some additional information.

“Executive Orders Issued During the COVID-19 Pandemic” – summarized by the Legislative Council Staff, Nonpartisan Services for Colorado’s Legislature

The Legislative Council’s summary is also available on the website of the Colorado Legislature.

This is an excerpt from that Memorandum:

  • More than 400 executive orders have been issued since March, 2020, when Governor Polis declared a disaster emergency in Colorado due to COVID-19. Approximately 50 of the Governor’s orders established a directive or suspended statute, with the majority of the others extending or amending the initial orders.
  • There are two remaining COVID-related executive orders in effect. Executive Order D 2021-139 focuses on returning the state to normal, pre-pandemic times, and D 2021-138 allows hospitals and emergency clinics to cease the admission of new patients in response to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
  • On July 8, 2021, the Governor issued Executive Order D 2021-122, which rescinds all remaining active executive and public health orders about COVID-19. The order does, however, rewrite some of the policies from the executive orders now rescinded. It continues policies about vaccine availability and also restructures but primarily keeps in place prior unemployment and eviction programs. The ability to access federal funding access is also maintained, including federal benefits for those receiving Medicaid and assistance under the Children’s Basic Health Plan.

Illegal Surveillance of Colorado Schoolchildren

Gov. Polis and CDPHE Conspire to Violate FERPA for Illegal Student Surveillance – an essay by Pam Long – September 18, 2022
In a recent essay, Pam Long, West Point graduate and former Captain in the Army Medical Service Corps, explains past and current attempts by the Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) to obtain citizen’s personally identifying data (PII) under the guise of “health and safety”, with the goal of increasing vaccine uptake.

In October 2021, Gov. Polis amended an Executive Order with the requirement that the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) share personally identifying information of students with CDPHE without the prior, written parental consent required by FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974), a federal law enacted in 1974 that protects the privacy of student education records.
